Progress MS-14 will correct the orbit of the ISS

In order to form a working orbit of the International Space Station before launching the Progress MS-15 cargo ship, a correction of its orbit is planned for July 10, 2020.

According to preliminary data from the ballistic and navigation support service of the Flight Control Center TsNIImash (part of Roscosmos State Corporation), the engines of the Progress MS-14 will be turned on at 00:36 Moscow time and will last 138.7 seconds. After which the altitude of the station’s orbit will increase by 480 meters and will be about 418.5 km above the Earth.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progress MS-15 cargo ship is scheduled for July 23, 2020 from platform No. 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. He will deliver to the crew of the 63rd Expedition the supply of fuel, water and gas, as well as life support equipment and styling for space experiments.
