Falcon 9 rocket carrying JCSAT-16 launch

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket deliver JCSAT-16, a commercial communications satellite for SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO).

SKY Perfect JSAT is a leading satellite operator in the Asia-Pacific region and provides high-quality satellite communications to its customers using its fleet of 16 satellites.

JCSAT-16 launch and first stage landing

SpaceX have launched their 8th Falcon 9 rocket of the year today, August 14th 2016 at 05:26 UTC carrying the JCSAT-16 satellite into geosynchronous transfer orbit.

The mission was successful including the recovery of the first stage on a barge out in the Atlantic ocean.
