Long March-2C carrying Haiyang-1D (HY-1D) satellite lift off

A Long March-2C launch vehicle launched the Haiyang-1D (HY-1D) satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, Shanxi Province, northern China, on 10 June 2020, at 18:30 UTC (11 June, at 02:30 local time).

HY-1D is China’s fourth remote-sensing satellite for ocean observation. Along with HaiYang-1C (launched on 7 September 2018), HY-1D will form China’s first satellite constellation for marine civil service.
