A Long March-2D launch vehicle launched Gaofen-9 05, Tiantuo-5 and a multifunctional test satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Gansu Province, northwest China, on 23 August 2020, at 02:27 UTC (10:27 local time).

Gaofen-9 05 (高分九号05) is an optical remote-sensing satellite with a resolution up to the sub-meter level.
Gaofen-9 Earth Observation Satellite
Tiantuo-5 (天拓五号) was designed and built by the National University of Defense Technology, China. The multifunctional test satellite was designed and built by the Academy of the Military Sciences, China.
