ROSCOSMOS - Russian Vehicles patch.

According to the automated warning system for dangerous situations in near-earth space (JSC Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, part of the State Corporation Roscosmos), the former American military satellite BRICSat-2 does not pose a threat to the International Space Station. Based on the analysis of the data received, the ISS flight control groups decided not to carry out an evasion maneuver.

BRICSat-2 is a communications experimental satellite that was launched in the summer of 2019 using the Falcon Heavy launch vehicle. It was operated by the US Navy.

The Russian side has repeatedly drawn the attention of partners to new threats in outer space that arise in connection with the creation of low-orbit satellite constellations, and proposes to develop the necessary interaction regulations.
