Soyuz-2.1b launches Gonets-M satellites and 22 cubesats

A Soyuz-2.1b rocket launched three Gonets-M satellites and 22 cubesats from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia, on 28 September 2020, at 11:20 UTC (14:20 local time).

Gonets-M (Гонец-М) are military satellites deployed in the interest of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The 22 small satellites are contracted by commercial companies Spire, Kepler Communications and Exolaunch for various customers.

A Russian government Soyuz rocket launches three Gonets M communications satellites and a cluster of international rideshare payloads. The rocket fly in the Soyuz-2.1b configuration with a Fregat upper stage. Moved forward from Sept. 29. Delayed from Sept. 24.
