May 20, 2021

In order to form the initial ballistic conditions before the launch of the Soyuz MS-19 manned transport vehicle and the landing of the Soyuz MS-18 spacecraft, today, on May 20, 2021, another correction of the orbital altitude of the International Space Station was carried out.

According to the ballistic and navigation support service of the TsNIIMash Flight Control Center (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation), at 20:01 Moscow time, a command was issued to turn on the engines of the Progress MS-16 transport cargo vehicle, which worked for 180 seconds. The pulse was 0.2 m / s. After the maneuver, the average altitude of the station's orbit should increase by 350 meters and amount to 419.69 km.
