H-IIA F44 launches QZS-1R
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’s H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 44 (H-IIA f4) launched the QZS-1R satellite from the Yoshinobu Launch Complex, at JAXA’s Tanegashima Space Center, Japan, on 26 October 2021, at 02:19:37 UTC (11:19:37 Japan Standard Time, JST).

QZS-1R (みちびき初号機後継機) will replace the Quasi-Zenith Satellite-1 “MICHIBIKI” (QZS-1, 準天頂衛星) in Japan’s Quasi-zenith Satellite System (QZSS) providing positioning signals in mountainous and urban regions in Japan.
