Long March-6 carrying Shiyan-16A, Shiyan-16B and Shiyan-17 liftoff

A Long March-6 launch vehicle launched the Shiyan-16A, Shiyan-16B and Shiyan-17 satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, Shanxi Province, China, on 26 September 2022, at 23:50 UTC (27 September, 07:50 local time).

According to official sources, the satellites (试验十六号A星、B星,试验十七号卫星) have entered the planned orbits successfully and “will provide data for land survey, urban planning, and disaster prevention and mitigation.”
