A Long March-4C launch vehicle launched the Shiyan-20 A/B satellites from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Gansu Province, China, on 12 December 2022, at 08:22 UTC (16:22 local time).

According to official sources, the Shiyan-20 A/B (试验二十号A/B) satellites have been “accurately put into a predetermined orbit” and will be “mainly used for on-orbit verification tests of new technologies, such as space environment monitoring”.
