The ISS orbit is being prepared for the launch of the Progress MS-23 cargo spacecraft

Sunday April 30, the orbit of the International Space Station has been adjusted to ensure the launch of the Progress MS-23 cargo spacecraft.

The engines of the Progress MS-22 spacecraft, docked to the Russian service module Zvezda, were turned on at 03:31 Moscow time and worked for 716.8 seconds, generating an impulse of 1.12 m/s.

As a result, according to preliminary data, the average height of the station's orbit increased by 1.95 km and amounted to 417.12 km.

During the entire flight time of the ISS, 338 corrections of the height of its orbit were carried out, including 186 with the help of the engines of the Progress spacecraft.

The launch of the (ISS) Progress MS-23 spacecraft by the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle from the Baikonur Cosmodrome is scheduled for May 24, 2023.

The crew of the 69th long-term expedition is working on board the ISS, consisting of cosmonauts of the State Corporation Roscosmos Sergey Prokopiev, Dmitry Petelin, Andrey Fedyaev, NASA astronauts Frank Rubio, Stephen Bowen, Woody Hoburg, UAE astronaut Sultan al-Neyadi.
