Minotaur I launch NROL-111
A Northrop Grumman Minotaur I Space Launch Vehicle launched the NROL-111 mission from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport’s (MARS) Pad 0B at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, on 15 June 2021, at 13:35 UTC (09:35 EDT).
Minotaur I launches NROL-111
The NROL-111 mission delivered three national security payloads to low Earth orbits for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The Minotaur I SLV consists of two solid-fueled motors from decommissioned Minuteman ICBMs as the lower stages and two solid-fueled commercial solid rocket motors as upper stages.
A U.S. Air Force and Northrop Grumman Minotaur 1 rocket launches a classified spy satellite cargo for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office. Delayed from December 2018, 2nd Quarter 2019, late 2019, and March 2021.
